New, and pristine. See scans and description. New York: Barnes & Noble, Inc. / Sterling Publishing Co., Inc., 2016. The Story of King Arthur and His Knights (Barnes & Noble Children's Leatherbound Classics Edition), written and illustrated by the great Howard Pyle. First Edition thus, 3rd printing. 54 color illustrations by Pyle, many of them full-page. Octavo, purple bonded leather boards with silver, gilt and black designs and imprinting (cover by Spencer Charles), pattern design endpapers, All Edges Silver, silver page-marker ribbon. New, pristine and flawless throughout. See all scans. Removed from publisher's shrink wrap for scanning and description; currently in sealed storage, on premises. See all scans. A beautiful decorative edition of Howard Pyle's re-telling of Arthurian for children and young adults (like me, at least at heart), thoroughly illustrated in color with Pyle's timeless illustrations. Not just for kids; extraordinarily handsome on the shelf or the coffee table. Just don't spill coffee on it. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course - not a bag. L101
