Perform-Made. Tomáš Ruller: Odolné okamžiky / Resistant Moments
Anotace
Perform-made / Resistant Moments represents the first comprehensive assessment of the more than forty-year artistic career of Tomáš Ruller, an important representative of action art and video art. Through period texts and recent writings, sorted thematically, leading Czech and international art theorists explore Ruller’s work from various perspectives and in various contexts. In their analyses of his specific performances and the general principles of his artistic approach, the book’s authors mediate the significance and timeless character of his work while offering a more general overview of this hitherto insufficiently reflected area of Czech performance art. The book also includes a rich and often highly unique set of photographic documentation as well as the artist’s distinctive reflections on his work.
