Tono Stano 1980-1996

Monografie Tono Stana je díky svému monumentálnímu formátu nepřehlédnutelným artefaktem. Stano je asi nejvýznamnějším zástupcem tzv. slovenské nové vlny, která na počátku osmdesátých let vnesla do tehdejší československé fotografie novou estetiku aranžované ateliérové tvorby. Publikace obsahuje autorský výběr 69 fotografií z období od r. 1980, kdy přišel do Prahy studovat FAMU. Jsou tu přítomny všechny slavné Stanovy fotografie, včetně proslulých ženských aktů s erotickými podtexty. Autor klade největší důraz na ničím nerušené vyznění reprodukcí a nechává na divákovi, aby si je interpretoval sám podle své fantazie. Proto – kromě dvou krátkých vlastních textů na úvod a závěrečných soupisů – už žádné jiné texty nezařadil.

The monography dedicated to Tono Stano is, thanks to its monumental size, unignorable artefact. Stano is probably the most prominent representative of the so-called "Slovak New Wave" that in the beginning of the 1980s introduced into the Czechoslovak photography new aesthetics of the trimmed studio composition. The book contains the author´s selection of 69 pictures from the period after 1980 when he came in Prague to study the Film Academy of Performing Arts. All the famous Stano´s photographs, not excluding his notorious woman nudes with their erotic undertones, are included. The author himself insists on the undisturbed impress of his pictures and lets the viewer to interpret them in accordance with his/her own imagination; therefore the book, except for two short texts at the opening of the book and the closing listings.

Die Monografie von Tono Stano stellt dank ihrem Riesenformat ein unübersehbares Artefakt dar. Stano ist wohl der bekannteste Repräsentant der sogenannten slowakischen neuen Welle, die am Anfang der 80-er Jahre neue Ästhetik der arrangierten Atelierschöpfung in die tschechoslowakische Fotografie brachte. Die Publikation enthält 69 vom Autoren ausgewählte Fotografien, die er seit seinem Studienanfang im Jahre 1980 aufnahm. Alle seine berühmten Fotografien sind hier vertreten, einschließlich der Frauenakte mit erotischen Untertexten. Der Künstler bemüht sich vor allem darum, daß die Reproduktionen ungestört ausklingen, und überläßt die Interpretierung dem Zuschauer und seiner Einbildungskraft. Deshalb enthält die Publikation - außer zwei kurzen Einleitungstexten und den Verzeichnissen - keine Texte.
