Anotace
PBSP is a creative and highly effective approach to help clients resolve the impact of trauma and unmet developmental needs on their current functioning. This series is intended to provide material for research into the process of change, study by clinicians wanting to learn clinical skills and the PBSP method and for the education of clients. The series preserves examples of the work of a gifted and original contributor to the field of therapy.
The client, Petra (family consultant, married, mother of four children, adoptive mother), says she often feels "pained"and "sad"even though she has "everything nice". When the client describes her mother, Al offers a "reversal", that is, he asks the client to imagine an "ideal mother" who satisfied the client's needs for physical touch, warmth and loving eye contact which the real mother did not provide.
